Role Summary
As an EN, you'll assist, protect and promote the health of people under your care including providing physical and emotional care, monitoring patient care, administering medication, maintaining infection prevention and control, performing clinical assessments and contributing to care planning.
Responsibilities and Duties
Providing high-quality nursing care to patients, including administering medications, wound care, and monitoring vital signs.
Delivering clinical services, care planning, reviewing, documenting and assessing all aspects of clinical care.
Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and administering medications according to the prescribed schedule and documenting accurately in relevant records.
Implementing fall prevention strategies and adhering to strict protocols for infection control.
Maintaining effective communication with clients, their families, to ensure a coordinated and person-centred approach to care.
Skills, Attributes and Experience
The ideal candidates will have experience working as a Nurse, and an understanding of the needs of consumers who are residing in or transitioning to residential aged care. They will be familiar with the applications and particulars of the Aged Care Act and aged care quality standards. They will also be familiar with managing challenging behaviours, particularly in people who are living with dementia. Our Nurses provide a high level of leadership, including conflict resolution, supervision and striving for continuous improvement.
Tertiary education in Nursing (Diploma)
APHRA Registration
A sound knowledge of the funding model AN – ACC
NDIS Worker Screening Check
National Police Clearance
Previous aged care experience
Driver’s License
Valid First aid and CPR certification
Medication Administration Proficient
Clinical Assessment and Documentation Skills
Knowledge of Infection Control
